Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Azerbaijan today, Saturday, to participate in a ceremony that will be held in the capital, Baku, on the occasion of Victory Day, the anniversary of the liberation of the Karabakh region from Armenian occupation.
The head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Department, Burhanuddin Duran, said in a blog post published on the Turkish social platform: President Erdogan will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the ceremonies that will be held in Baku on the occasion of Victory Day on November 8.
Talks between Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev
According to Duran, during the visit, Erdogan is scheduled to hold talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as well as Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who will also participate in the ceremony, to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues.
On Saturday, Azerbaijan celebrates the fourth anniversary of victory in the war to liberate the Karabakh region from Armenian occupation.
