During its participation in the forty-fourth session of the Sharjah International Book Fair, the Emirates Media Council announced the launch of the “First Edition” programme, which represents a qualitative initiative aimed at enabling Emirati creators to publish their first publications and fully finance them, in support of transforming their distinguished ideas into pioneering creative projects, and enhancing the presence of the Emirati writer in the creative arena by increasing literary production and the diversity of publications, in addition to enriching the Emirati library with new and diverse creations in the fields of literature and thought. The program targets Emirati writers who have never published any print publication before, from various fields of literary creativity, including the novel.
