The Benha City Council in Qalyubia Governorate announced that it would cut off electricity supply to a number of areas of the city on Friday, as part of carrying out periodic maintenance work on the electricity networks, with the aim of improving the quality of service and stability of power supply for citizens.
The council explained in a statement that the outage will be from seven in the morning until nine in the morning, and includes a number of vital areas within the city, which are:
The National Bank, the central bank, the city council, the court complex, the Bank of Egypt, the post office, Saad Zaghloul sewers, the Metropolitan Church, Banha’s first section, filtered water, the Chamber of Commerce, the educational zone, and the railway.
The Benha City Council called on citizens and owners of establishments located within the scope of these areas to arrange their electricity needs in advance during the outage period, while stressing that maintenance teams will work to complete the tasks on time to ensure the return of electricity as quickly as possible.
The Council also appealed to drivers, shop owners and vital institutions to be careful during the outage period, and to avoid doing any work that relies directly on electricity, in order to ensure the safety of public devices and services.
The executive authorities confirmed that these works come within the framework of a comprehensive plan to modernize and maintain the electrical networks in the city of Benha and its areas, ensuring continued improvement of service and reducing malfunctions and emergency outages in the future.
