Today, elections for the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Engineering Industries of the Federation of Egyptian Industries are being held. The General Assembly was completed in the presence of 216 members. Following the completion of the assembly procedures, the voting process began amid a large turnout from members. These elections are witnessing widespread interest from the local industry and are an important step in enhancing the representation of the industrial sector in the current circumstances.
The elections will be held in three categories, where 12 members will be elected from the categories of large, medium and small companies, with 4 members from each category, which ensures diversity of representation and enhances opportunities for innovation and progress in the sector. The elections depend on actual representation of companies according to their size, which contributes to creating a fair competitive environment.
The medium-sized companies category was decided by acclamation for Mohammed Al-Muhandis, the current Chairman of the Chamber, Engineer Hamada Daoud, Engineer Ahmed Abdel-Jawad, and Engineer Rasha Al-Kurdi, all of whom were on the outgoing Board of Directors, which reflects stability in leadership and an intention to continue developing the Chamber’s work and supporting members’ interests effectively.
In the large companies category, Engineer Amr Abu Freikha, Engineer Shadi Al-Manzalawi, Engineer Raafat Al-Khanajri, and Engineer Basim Youssef, in addition to Issam Al-Desouki, compete. This category is considered pivotal because of its role in achieving growth and expansion in the sector. Competition here indicates a serious interest in innovation and adopting new strategies.
As for the small companies category, Engineer Muhammad Al-Aidi, Tariq Abdeen, Amir Nader Riyad, Ayman Al-Fakharani, and Jaber Saeed Muhammad are competing. This category represents the backbone of the industry, and the competition between them reflects efforts to develop and improve investment conditions. The voting process is expected to end at four in the evening, followed directly by the counting process to announce the results, which is a decisive moment for the members of the chamber.
