The Ministry of Education and Technical Education sent a letter to the educational directorates, confirming that Egypt celebrated, on November 1, the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is a national and international event that derives its greatness from being the largest museum of antiquities, one civilization, the property of one people, who gave humanity arts and sciences.
The Ministry said that the world is still discovering its secrets until now, and within the framework of celebrating the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Office of the Home Economics Adviser announces competitions for the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026 entitled The Civilization of the Pharaohs, with the creativity of Egyptian students, to urge students to belong and be proud of their ancient civilization, with the aim of discovering talents and developing the students’ creative abilities, and providing the opportunity for Egyptian students to participate in celebrating the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum for all educational levels: primary – general preparatory – vocational preparatory. – Secondary – competition for STEM schools.
Competitions being carried out
– Competition (Friendship bracelets using hieroglyphic symbols)
– A piece competition inspired by the Pharaonic civilization
– Competition for an artistic piece of machine knitting using Pharaonic symbols in the design
– A piece competition to beautify the home inspired by the Pharaonic civilization
– An artistic piece competition using threads and fabrics inspired by the Pharaonic civilization
Executive procedures for the competition
The general supervisor generally supervises the preparation and implementation of competitions.
The mentor announces the competition, prepares a bulletin, and sends it to all affiliated schools.
A committee of 3 members is formed to prepare, follow up and implement the competition at the directorate level, which undertakes the following tasks: announcing the competition – collecting works – organizing the evaluation process – judging and selecting the winning works at the directorate level.
The Ministry directed that the following data be attached to the winning pieces: Governorate – Administration – School – Class – Name of the student – Name of the teacher – The mentor supervising the competition and the first mentor – Sending everyone’s names in quadruple on the piece – Documenting photos of the students during the work stages of implementing the piece. Attaching the photos with or behind the piece.
She stressed that the winning pieces are delivered at the governorate level, in order to evaluate these works through a jury to determine the winning pieces of art and crafts at the republic level for each stage separately.
