Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed on Monday that discussions were taking place between him and US envoy Jared Kushner, without providing further details, according to what Agence France-Presse reported.
According to Netanyahu’s office, “The Prime Minister is currently meeting in his office in Jerusalem with the special envoy and son-in-law of US President (Donald) Trump, Jared Kushner.”
Israeli media reports stated that Kushner’s visit came at a time when Washington is intensifying its efforts to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire that was reached with American mediation in the Gaza Strip, and which entered into force on the tenth of last October.
