The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Anis Mata, stressed that the Manama Dialogue always constitutes a pivotal and influential platform in discussing regional and international security issues, stressing that its holding at this particular time gives it double importance. Due to the delicate circumstances that the region and the world are going through.
He said in a statement on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue 2025 that this event represents a valuable opportunity to exchange visions and discuss the future of security in the Middle East and the world.
He stressed that the importance of this year’s dialogue exceeds previous years, given the escalation of regional and international tensions that require a comprehensive approach and collective solutions based on understanding and cooperation.
The Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that the Palestinian issue tops the dialogue agenda, as it is the central and first issue in the region, adding that Indonesia believes that any progress towards stopping the war in Palestine will represent a real starting point towards establishing peace and stability not only in Palestine, but in the entire Middle East.
He expressed his hope that the discussions during the Manama Dialogue would result in a new vision for a ceasefire in Palestine, and an integrated plan to establish a more balanced and sustainable regional security system that enhances collective security and enshrines the principles of justice, peace and cooperation between the countries of the region and the world.
He concluded by emphasizing that Indonesia, based on its foreign policy based on supporting international peace, will continue to support all initiatives aimed at ending conflicts and promoting dialogue as a strategic option to achieve security and common development.
