His Excellency Major General Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, attended the conclusion of the Open Police Championship for five-a-side football (futsal), which was organized by the Public Security Sports Federation at the Bahrain Handball Federation Hall, where the General Traffic Department team won the championship title after defeating the Special Security Forces team.
On this occasion, His Excellency Major General Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, praised the directives of His Excellency General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, in providing the necessary capabilities to hold sports events and tournaments, which reflects the continued support for sports and athletes in the various teams of the Ministry of Interior, which contributed to achieving advanced positions in many local and international tournaments.
He also praised the distinguished performance and competition witnessed by the tournament, and the high sportsmanship displayed by the participants, expressing his thanks to the Public Security Sports Federation and all those responsible for organizing the tournament and directing it in a successful and honorable manner.
For his part, Brigadier General Khaled Abdulaziz Al-Khayyat, President of the Public Security Sports Federation, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Deputy President of Public Security for his presence and continuous follow-up of all sporting activities organized by the Federation, as part of its plan to enhance the physical and mental capabilities of Public Security personnel.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency Major General Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, crowned the General Traffic Department team with the championship cup and gold medals, while the second team was awarded silver medals, wishing everyone continued success.
