Dr. Jamila Mohammed Redha Al-Salman, Chairman of the Services Committee of the Shura Council, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the nineteenth regular meeting of Their Excellencies and Excellencies the Heads of the Shura, Representatives, National and Nation Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held in Manama during the period from 11 to 13 November of this month, embodies the Kingdom’s keenness under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for strengthening the bonds of cooperation and joint coordination between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in a way that enhances the blessed Gulf march and serves the aspirations of the Gulf peoples towards greater unity and integration.
Her Excellency indicated that holding this meeting on the territory of the Kingdom of Bahrain comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s preparations to host the Gulf Summit of Their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, scheduled to be held next December, which reflects the prestigious status that Bahrain enjoys and its active role in supporting joint Gulf action.
Dr. Al-Salman expressed her appreciation for the great efforts made by the Shura and Representatives Councils and the organizing committee of the meeting, which contributed to the success of its work and highlighting the honorable image of the Kingdom of Bahrain in organizing and hosting Gulf events.
At the conclusion of her statement, she stressed the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the GCC countries in various legislative and development fields, in a way that achieves good and development for the peoples of the GCC countries and enhances the process of joint Gulf action.
