Completion of the round of 32 of the singles competition in the Manama Open Tennis Championship

The round of 32 singles matches of the Manama Open Tennis Championship (one of the rounds of the ITF FUTURES series), organized by the Bahrain Tennis Federation, were completed yesterday. The matches are held at the courts of the Public Security Officers Club. The matches of the round of 16 of the doubles competition were also completed today.

Nine matches were held in the singles tournament, where Senegalese Cedina Andre qualified to the quarter-finals after defeating Briton Maximilian Homberg with a score of 6/3 and 6/3. Georgian player Bakshi, ranked fourth in the tournament, also qualified for the same round by defeating Kuwaiti Issa Qabazard with a score of 6/3 and 6/3.

Indian Manish Sureshkumar reserved his place in the quarter-finals by defeating Italian Lorenzo Lorusso with a score of 6/1 and 6/4, and Frenchman Nicolas Jadon qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Indian Dave Gavia in two sets to one, with a score of 6/2, 2/6 and 6/3.

The Syrian player, Hazem Nou, reached the eighth final by defeating the Bahraini player, Youssef Qaed, 6/2, 6/3. The Spanish player, Cubello Morero, qualified for the next round by defeating the German, Nikolai Barskov, 6/2, 6/3. The player qualified.

Ukrainian Volodymyr advanced to the same round by defeating Hong Kong’s Ming Chun Yam with a score of 6/1 and 6/0.

Russian Timofey Deripascu reached the round of 16 after defeating German Koerin Weber 6/0, 6/0, while Uzbek Sergey Fomin, seeded second in the tournament, qualified at the expense of Romanian player Vladislav Milenyk, whom he defeated with a score of 7/6 (5), 6/4.

In the doubles competitions, the round of 16 competitions of the tournament were completed, as the Russian duo Ivan Nedelko and the Romanian Valentin Fanta qualified for the quarter-finals by defeating the Bahraini duo Elias Abdul Redha and the Saudi Ammar Al-Haqbani with scores of 4/6, 6/4 and 10/7.

The German duo, Nikolai Barskov and Nino Ehrenschneider, also reached the same round by defeating the Bahraini duo, Ahmed Al-Sayed, and the Canadian, Pascal Tellic, with a score of 6/0, 6/3. The British duo, Ali Habib, and the Indian, Manish Sureshkumar, qualified at the expense of the Ukrainian duo, Volodymyr Iakobenko, and the Frenchman, Louis Larue, with a score of 6/3, 7/6 (5), while the German duo, Maximilian Homberg, and the British, Zach Stevens, advanced to the quarter-finals by defeating the duo. Georgian Alexander Bakshi and Bulgarian Pyotr Nesterov with scores of 6/3, 2/6 and 10/4.
