Cairo Airport Customs arrests a foreign passenger who tried to smuggle 5 kg of hashish into the country

The details of the incident are that during the completion of customs procedures for the passengers of the Vueling Airlines flight coming from Barcelona, ​​Mustafa Muhammad Mustafa, the customs committee official, became suspicious of one of the foreign passengers who tried to quickly exit the committee gate without undergoing inspection.

When asked whether he was carrying anything that needed to be disclosed, he denied it, so his bags were passed through an x-ray machine by Haitham Salah, the customs commissioner, and Faraj Hamdi, the head of the department, who noticed the presence of suspicious organic condensations inside the bags.

Assigning Mohamed Mustafa Mohamed Diab, the Customs Commissioner, to manually search the bags under the supervision of George Alphonse, Director of the Movement, 3 large pillows were found with tightly woven rolls of cloth inside them, and inside them were 50 small bags containing the essence of the drug hashish, with a total weight of 4.95 kilograms.

During the initial investigation, the passenger claimed that the pillows were being used for massage purposes, but the examination proved that the narcotic substances were hidden inside them in a professional manner.

A customs seizure report was drawn up against the passenger by Ahmed Omar Abdel Qader, Acting Director of the First Department, after presenting it to Mustafa Helmy El-Gendy, Director of the First Department, Dr. Ahmed Saad Abdel Muttalib, General Director, and Dr. Majed Moussa, Head of the Central Administration, who referred the incident to the competent prosecution to complete investigations.
