The Confederation of African Football (CAF) notified Zamalek club officials of the date of the first team’s matches against Zambia’s ZESCO United and South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, in the first and second rounds of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup.

It was decided that Zamalek will meet Zambian ZESCO on Sunday, November 23, at Cairo International Stadium, at exactly nine o’clock in the evening, as part of the first round competitions.

Zamalek will host Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa in the second round of the group stage, at 3pm on Saturday, November 29, at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Zamalek is at the top of the fourth group of the Confederation Cup, which includes Al-Masry Clubs, South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and Zambia’s ZESCO United.
In another context, the Zamalek Club Board of Directors, headed by Hussein Labib, accompanied by the team’s sporting director, John Edward, is preparing to hold an important session during the next few days with Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the interim technical director of the first football team, in order to resolve his position on continuing the technical leadership during the next stage.
The session is expected to witness a comprehensive discussion about the future of the technical staff, whether continuing at the head of the technical leadership or being satisfied with the current period during which Abdel Raouf assumed responsibility after the departure of former coach Yannick Ferreira, in addition to evaluating the team’s performance during the past matches, especially after playing the Egyptian Super Cup match against Al-Ahly.
