Director of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa Center for Kidney Diseases and Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes, Brigadier General Dr. Faryal Al-Sabr, said that Bahraini Doctor’s Day represents a national occasion in which the values of dedication, sincerity and humanitarian giving are embodied, stressing that honoring doctors is a tribute to the life mission they carry and to their continuous efforts in developing the level of health care and achieving society’s aspirations for advanced medical services of exceptional quality.
She added that Bahraini doctors have proven that they are essential partners in the process of health development, through their scientific competence and commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in the practice of medicine, noting that work will continue to strengthen medical capabilities and provide the health system with national expertise capable of leading the health future with greater excellence.
The Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa Center for Kidney Diseases was opened under the umbrella of the Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defense Force in the East Riffa area in February 2024.
The center consists of medical clinics for the treatment of chronic kidney diseases, immune diseases, and follow-up of kidney transplant patients.
The center also includes suites for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and other supporting medical services such as a pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory.
