On Monday afternoon, police in Paris issued a decision regarding the Champions League match between… Bayern Munich Paris Saint-Germain, at the Parc des Princes stadium, is concerned with organizing the arrival of fans and creating an area subject to security measures.
Bayern Munich files a protest with the European Union against the Paris police
After Bayern Munich was informed of this surprising decision only late today, the club lodged an official protest during today’s UEFA meeting and announced that it would take additional legal measures. Paris Saint-Germain has expressed its support for Bayern Munich in this case.
The decision includes all buses for Bayern Munich fans, as it obliges them to gather before the match at one of the toll points outside the city. The decision also stipulates that all other Bayern Munich fans must go to the stadium using public transportation only, and after the end of the match, the fans must return to the means of transportation they used previously, as the police will accompany the buses as they leave the city.
Bayern Munich believes that this decision is unacceptable, especially because it was issued in a very short time, as all organizational information has been available for weeks in a transparent manner, and there has been no change in the security situation related to Bayern fans compared to the last confrontation between the two teams in Paris in 2023.
Due to these official procedures, the crowd buses will leave Paris very late, and are expected to begin their journey to Germany in the early hours of the morning, approximately at five in the morning.
