It was officially agreed to hold a match between the Catalonia national team and Palestine Charity on Tuesday, November 18, at six-thirty in the evening, at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium Montjuïc in Barcelona.
The parties concerned with organizing the match, namely, the Catalan government, the Barcelona City Council, the Catalan Football Federation, FC Barcelona, and the ACT × Palestine platform, met this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Sports to put the final touches on the details of the match and reach a final agreement.
The main point of contention was related to the budget for organizing the match at Montjuïc Stadium, which the Catalan Federation initially estimated at more than 600,000 euros, as the participating parties sought to reduce costs and distribute them fairly among the various parties.
According to what was reported by the Spanish news agency ARA, it was agreed that the city council would provide the stadium free of charge through the Barcelona Municipal Services Company, which is responsible for managing the Luis Companis Stadium, as the cost of renting it usually amounts to about 180,000 euros plus taxes for each match.
