
At a celebratory evening held at the Hidd Charity headquarters (Tuesday, November 11), the association honored the former MP and social and volunteer activist, the distinguished Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Thawadi, by renewing his honorary membership, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in supporting charitable and social work in the city of Hidd and various regions of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Sheikh Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Ibrahim, presented a memorial shield to Al-Thawadi, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors and a number of the Association’s members. In his speech, Sheikh Al-Ibrahim praised Al-Thawadi’s career full of giving, noting his active role in supporting the association’s projects, and his continued participation in the sports, religious and social fields at the local and international levels.
The association’s president stressed that granting honorary membership comes in appreciation of Al-Thawadi’s career in community service, through his previous membership in the Parliament and the Muharraq Municipal Council, and his efforts in promoting volunteer work in Bahrain.
For his part, the distinguished Yousef Al-Thawadi expressed his thanks and gratitude for this honor, stressing his pride in honorary membership, and emphasizing his continued support of the association and its humanitarian, social and advocacy initiatives, which contribute to serving the nation and society.
