Mohamed El-Garhi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the African Women’s Basketball Championship for Clubs, confirmed that Al-Ahly Club is harnessing all its energies to ensure that the tournament emerges in the best possible way, noting that the committee is working on the smallest details to ensure the success of this major continental event.

Al-Garhi explained that the goal is to organize a tournament worthy of the name of Al-Ahly and Egyptian sports, and reflects the great experience that the club possesses in hosting continental championships, stressing that the work team within the committee works in one spirit to achieve the best possible organization.
This came during the meeting of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament, which is hosted by Al-Ahly Club during the period from 4 to 15 December, where the meeting witnessed the discussion of all organizational aspects of the event.
The meeting touched on arrangements for receiving the participating teams and delegations, housing them in the designated hotels, in addition to setting a daily transportation schedule to and from the club headquarters, ensuring the maximum comfort for the participating delegations.
The committee also reviewed the comprehensive security plan inside the halls and around the club, in coordination with the competent security authorities, in addition to discussing the names of the personalities invited to attend the tournament activities, to ensure that it comes out in a manner befitting the status of Al-Ahly and Egyptian sports.
