Abu Dhabi Police warned the public as part of the “Be Cautious” campaign against fake calls, messages and links that may seem tempting, but they are just a fraudulent trap. Fraudsters exploit occasions and events to deceive and request bank data in misleading ways. Abu Dhabi Police said, “Always remember, do not share your password, do not disclose your bank card numbers or PIN, and do not give the security code (CCV).” She added, “By avoiding clicking on suspicious links, you are protecting yourself and your family from the risk of electronic fraud.” Abu Dhabi Police called on those exposed to fraud attempts to quickly report via the security service 8002626 or send a text message to 2828.
