The seventh round of the first division competitions in the 69th edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League witnessed a clear decline in the performance and results of the Sitra Club team, which occupied eighth place in the standings with 6 points, collected from one win and 3 draws against 3 defeats, in an unconvincing outcome for the team’s fans and fans.
These fluctuating results contradicted the expectations that indicated before the start of the season that the team would continue its strong performances and present a high level of competitiveness, especially after the distinguished performance it presented last season, when it finished the league in third place and achieved second place in the 48th edition of His Majesty the King’s Cup.
It seems that the team was relatively affected by its external participation in the Gulf Champions Club Championship, as that participation and the accompanying pressure of matches and travel affected the players’ physical and mental performance, which led to a decline in the team’s general level locally and its results in the league competition.
The supporters of the Straw battalion hope that the technical staff and players will be able to restore balance and correct the course in the coming rounds, in order to return to the competition circle and achieve positive results, especially in light of the capabilities that the team possesses.
