Today, the General Secretariat of the Grievances received a delegation of employees of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the United States of America, as part of the delegation’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of the periodic visits made by congressional employees to the Secretariat, with the aim of learning about the nature of its work and its role in promoting respect for human rights in the Kingdom.
The delegation was received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director of the International Cooperation and Development Department, and a number of members of the General Secretariat of Grievances, where they gave an introductory presentation on the establishment of the Secretariat, its tasks and specializations, and its role in serving the public, in addition to its relations with the authorities related to its fields of work.
During the meeting, the delegation members’ inquiries were answered, and the General Secretariat of Grievances’ keenness to enhance constructive communication with the parties and institutions concerned with learning about their activities and efforts in supporting the justice system and respecting human rights was emphasized.
