The Public Prosecution Attorney stated that the Public Prosecution had received a report from the Anti-Cybercrime Department of the General Administration for Combating Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, stating that a person had made statements to the media containing false information and news that were offensive to some countries and their leaders, in addition to calling on the people to resist and appear before the governments, accusing them of collusion and conspiracy against the people’s issues.
The prosecution began the investigation immediately after receiving the report, and reviewed the statements that were the subject of the report. The accused was arrested based on the prosecution’s order, and he was interrogated with its knowledge in the presence of his lawyer, and ordered his provisional detention pending investigation.
