A medical source in Qena revealed details of the health condition of an obstetrician and gynecologist, who was injured by a gunshot while participating in a medical convoy belonging to the Qena Health Directorate, in the village of Al-Atiyat in the Dashna Center.

The source explained that the injury was represented by a bullet that hit the left shoulder, which led to a fracture in the left fourth rib, which caused a rupture in the tissue of the left lung, which led to blood pooling around the left lung.
He pointed out that the bleeding was stopped, the blood pool was drained, and the lung rupture was repaired, and the wound is being closed without extracting the projectile, as it is lodged behind the left shoulder blade between the muscles.
The beginning was when the security services in the Qena Security Directorate received a notification from the operations room stating that a gynecologist had been injured by a stray bullet in the village of Al-Atiyat in the Dashna Center, and an ambulance was immediately dispatched to the site of the accident.
Upon transfer and examination, it was found that Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Rajab Fikri, 32 years old, an obstetrician and gynecologist, was injured by a stray bullet while participating in a free medical convoy affiliated with the Qena Health Directorate, in the village of Al-Atiyat in the Dashna Center, and he was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident and the investigating authorities were notified to undertake investigations, which assigned the Criminal Investigation Department to intensify efforts to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
