The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Qalyubia, headed by Dr. Tamer Salah, Undersecretary of the Ministry, implemented intensive monitoring campaigns today, Saturday, November 8, 2025, which included a number of bakeries and commercial activities in seven cities across the governorate.
86 catering violations were issued and 38 packages of subsidized local flour were seized before they were smuggled to the black market in Qalyubia.
This comes within the framework of the directives of Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, to intensify oversight of markets and bakeries and tighten field follow-up to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it.
The campaigns resulted in the issuance of 86 ration violations in the administrations of Toukh – Qalyoub – Shebin Al-Qanater – Banha – Kafr Shukr – West Shubra Al-Kheima district. The violations varied between producing bread that was underweight and did not meet specifications, closing without permission, not cleaning kneading tools, and not delivering cash registers to citizens.
In the center and city of Toukh, 7 misdemeanor tickets were issued for a number of commercial activities: grocery, pastry, herbalist, supermarket, and pesticides, for not announcing prices, while the West Shubra El Kheima neighborhood witnessed the issuance of 8 violations to bakeries, including 3 tickets for disposing of 38 checks of subsidized local flour, in addition to violations of underweight bread and not issuing an exchange voucher.
The Governor of Qalyubia confirmed that ration campaigns continue daily in all ration departments at the governorate level, in implementation of the state’s directives to control markets and prevent tampering with subsidies, stressing that any violations affecting the rights of citizens will not be tolerated.
