The local unit of the East Sohag district, headed by Taj Jalal Abu Sadah, the district head, launched a massive campaign to control markets, monitor prices, and review store licenses, with the participation of veterinary medicine, health, catering, consumer protection, the National Food Safety Authority, the Occupational Safety and Health Office in the workforce, and the supply investigation.

The campaign targeted various sectors of the neighborhood and resulted in the seizure and confiscation of 120 kilograms of various meats unfit for human consumption and the issuance of 8 various reports for violators.
The campaign was carried out in the presence of Bahaa El-Din Al-Najjar, Deputy Head of the District, and with the participation of the Follow-up Department and shop licensing officials.
For his part, Undersecretary Taj Galal Abu Sadah, head of the East Sohag district, confirmed that these campaigns are continuing and will not stop to control markets and monitor prices, within the framework of the directives of Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, and in order to preserve the health of citizens and protect the consumer.
