Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, announced the new localities movement, which was as follows:-
Within the framework of the Ministry of Local Development’s continuous follow-up of the performance of local leaders in all governorates of the Republic to control the local work system, improve the services provided to citizens, escalate distinguished leaders, and exclude those who are negligent and terminate their service.
Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, approved the annual movement of local administration leaders in the various governorates of the Republic, which includes 164 local leaders.
The Minister of Local Development indicated that the movement included the transfer and appointment of 5 general secretaries, 10 assistant general secretaries, and 134 heads of centers, cities, and districts in the governorates, and the termination of the service of 15 leaders, 11 of whom were permanently removed from work, their service terminated, the exclusion of 4 from leadership positions, and their transfer to administrative positions in the offices of a number of governorates.
Dr. Manal Awad also indicated that the movement included the appointment of a number of new leaders who were chosen from applicants in Announcement No. (2) of 2024 to fill a number of leadership positions in the local administration.
The Minister of Local Development said that the movement included the appointment of Ahmed Mahmoud Habib as Secretary General of Alexandria, Mohamed Salah Abd Rabbo as Assistant Secretary General of Alexandria, Jihan Abdel Hamid Masoud as Secretary General of Qalyubia, Mohamed Moawad Akl as Assistant Secretary General of Qalyubia, Dr. Ihab Hassan Mohamed as Secretary General of North Sinai, Mahmoud Mustafa Gharib as Assistant Secretary General of North Sinai, Abdel Aal Abdel Bari Al Sayed as Secretary General of Port Said, and Arif Abdel Aziz Al Barkawi as Secretary. General Assistant of Suez.
The movement also included the appointment of Hazem Mohamed Ezzat as Secretary-General of Beni Suef and Magdy Mohamed Al-Wasif as Secretary-General of Matrouh.
The local movement also included promotion to the high level for: Muhammad Abdel Hamid Marei, Assistant Secretary-General of Giza, Osama Rizq Mansour, Assistant Secretary of Beheira, Khaled Ibrahim Al-Nimr, Assistant Secretary of Menoufia, and Ahmed Muhammad Gamal El-Din, Assistant Secretary of Beni Suef.
And Ihab Mohamed Rashad, Assistant Secretary of South Sinai.
The Minister of Local Development directed the new local leaders in the governorates to the importance of making the utmost effort to serve the citizens and to have a field presence in the street to listen to their complaints, solve their problems, and implement the directives of the political leadership and the Prime Minister’s assignments in a number of development and service files that affect the daily lives of citizens.
Dr. Manal Awad stressed that the current period requires dedication and sincerity from all employees of the local administration in performing the tasks assigned to them to achieve the aspirations and hopes of citizens in the governorates.
The Minister of Local Development added that the Ministry will continue to monitor and evaluate the performance of all local leaders in the various governorates of the Republic, in coordination with the governors and all concerned agencies, to permanently advance the distinguished in leadership positions, as a number of leaders were excluded due to low performance in a number of service files.
