White chicken prices today, Saturday
The price of white chickens today on the farm was about 64 pounds per kilo, while the selling price to the consumer in stores ranged between 73 and 75 pounds per kilo, depending on the region. The prices of Sasso chickens reached about 105 pounds per kilo, and were sold to the consumer at a price of approximately 115 pounds, while the price of local chickens ranged between 100 and 120 pounds per kilo. As for maternal chickens, prices ranged between 66 pounds. And 75 pounds per kilogram for the consumer.
In this context, Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, Head of the Poultry Division at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, explained that the stability of white chicken prices now is considered normal with the onset of winter, due to the increase in heating costs inside farms, adding that since last August, poultry prices have ranged between 58 and 60 pounds per kilo, which did not cover the cost of production, which reached about 68 pounds.
Al-Sayed stressed that the prices of white chickens today on farms, which range between 67 and 68 pounds per kilo, represent a fair price that balances the interests of the producer and the consumer, as it allows the seller a reasonable profit margin while keeping the prices within the reach of citizens.
