Aswan Governorate witnessed a painful accident after the death of a student, as a result of her falling into the Nile River in the link area known as Al-Kohl between the Grand Mosque and the regions’ parking lot, while she was returning on foot from a private lesson.
While returning from class, a female student drowned in the Nile River in Aswan
The student’s family revealed to Cairo 24 that their daughter F. A. M., 18 years old, was talking to her mother on the phone on her way back. The call was full of laughter and jokes, but the call was suddenly cut off, and the mother began repeating words of concern: Where are you? Where did you go, my love?, before the family quickly headed back to its destination and discovered the disaster.
Initial investigations indicated that the girl slipped her foot and fell into the waters of the Nile, which led to her drowning immediately, without any criminal suspicion, which was also confirmed by her family.
Security forces moved to the scene of the accident immediately after receiving the report, and the body was transferred to the University Hospital in Aswan, where great sadness fell over the family.
