The promising Bahraini cyclist, Hassan Thamer, won second place in the general individual race for the junior category, which was held this Sunday morning, for a distance of 58 kilometers with two laps on the race track, as part of the Arab Road Cycling Championship competitions, held in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate in Iraq during the period from 3 to 13 October of this month. At the level of the men’s category competitions, the Bahraini cyclist Ahmed Nasser was also on a good date with achieving second place in the general individual race, which It was held for a distance of 145 km, at a rate of 5 laps.

Thamer deserved to place second and be crowned with the silver medal after he was able to finish the race distance in a time of 1:29.39 hours. The first place was achieved by the Emirati Maadhad Al-Mashghuni with a time of 1:29.36 hours. The third place went to the Iraqi Saif Abdul Hamza Hamid with a time of 1:30.31 hours. Nasser also deserved to place second and be crowned with the silver medal after he was able to finish the race distance in a time of 1.29.39 hours. 3.15.42 hours, behind the Emirati Abdullah Jassim Al Ali, who took first place with a time of 3.15.25 hours, and in front of the other Emirati, Ahmed Yousef Al Mansouri, who came in third place with a time of 3.15.50 hours.

With this well-deserved victory for the promising cycling star, Hassan Thamer, the Bahraini sports façade in Sulaymaniyah was decorated with precious silver, thus raising our team’s tally of medals in the Arab Championship to five medals, including three bronze and two silver.
