We proudly announce that two academies from the University of Bahrain won the first place in the Excellence Award in Point Education and Innovation, during their participation in the twentieth European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2025), which was held at the University of the National UNHCR in Krakov, Poland.
The winning initiative, which was presented by Dr. Reem Sultan and Dr. Fatima, a leader from the Interior Design Program at the University of Bahrain, obtained this high appreciation between a strong group of international initiatives, because of its originality, impact and ability on the application through various specializations and cultures.
The winning course holds the title: “Merging entrepreneurship and innovation in interior design education: an educational model based on design thinking”, which is a four -year march that included more than 300 students. This course is based on a distinguished framework consisting of five stages (inspiration, investigation, generation of ideas, implementation, and repetition), and design thinking is used not only as a tool for learning, but also a method for curricula design and education development, as it combines creativity, commercial practices and community innovation.
As part of this achievement, the case study of this initiative was officially published within the ECIE 2025 conference book, an academic edition that highlights the best global practices in the field of entrepreneurship education
