Popular singer Yuksel Kadir, 47 years old, died suddenly while celebrating a wedding for one of his relatives in the town of Gemlik in the Turkish province of Bursa.
Local sources reported that Qadir went up to the stage to perform a song in honor of the newlyweds, before he suddenly collapsed in front of the audience. This shocked and astonished the guests.
The invitees tried to help him immediately, while emergency medical teams arrived quickly and transferred him to Gemlik Governmental Hospital, but all attempts to save his life failed, and doctors confirmed his death as a result of a sudden heart attack.
A video clip was spread on social media documenting the artist’s fall on stage. Which caused widespread sadness among his fans and colleagues in the artistic community.
Local authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident to ascertain all circumstances surrounding the death.
