US President Donald Trump issued a new presidential matter that guarantees the security of the State of Qatar against any external attack, stressing that the relationship between the two countries is based on a long -term partnership and military cooperation and Qatar hosting the American forces, in addition to its prominent role in regional and international mediations.
The matter pointed out that any armed attack targeting the Qatari lands, sovereignty, or biological infrastructure will be considered a direct threat to American national peace and security, which calls for an immediate response from Washington.
The decision stressed that the United States will take all legitimate means, whether diplomatic, economic or military, when necessary, to ensure the defense of Qatar and protect its interests, which reflects a clear commitment to joint defense.
He also called for the continued security coordination and the development of joint emergency plans, as well as strengthening cooperation in international mediations, in appreciation of Qatar’s growing role in settling conflicts and achieving stability on the regional and global arenas.
