On Sunday, US President Donald Trump witnessed the signing ceremony of a peace agreement between Thailand and Cambodia in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Trump said in a speech after signing the agreement: “We ended the eighth war during my administration.”
He continued: “We succeeded in ending the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. I congratulate the leaders of the two countries on the peace agreement.”
Trump explained, “Our goal is to stop wars and promote the path of peace and prosperity.”
The agreement was signed between Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakoil and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.
