Egyptian television and some private channels broadcast the Friday prayer rituals from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Mosque. The Friday Quran is scheduled to be recited by reciter Sheikh Yasser Al-Sharqawi, and Dr. Abdel Fattah Al-Awari, a member of the Islamic Research Academy, will deliver the sermon.
The Ministry of Endowments determined Friday sermon topic Today is October 17, 2025, corresponding to Rabi’ Al-Akhir 25, 1447, with the title: In the best way, in all mosques with the exception of Al-Azhar Mosque, because it is affiliated with the sheikhdom and not the ministry.
Transferring Friday prayer rituals from Al-Azhar Mosque
The Ministry of Endowments stressed that all imams must adhere to the topic of the Friday sermon, in text or content at the very least, and that the performance of the sermon should not exceed fifteen minutes for the first and second sermons.

The Ministry announced that the total number of mosques opened, since the first of July 2025 AD until now, has reached (244) mosques, including (187) mosques between new construction, replacement and renovation, and (57) mosques maintained and developed. The Ministry confirmed that the total number of mosques that have been replaced, renovated, maintained and furnished since July 2014 amounted to (13,733) mosques, at a total cost estimated at about 23 billion And 930 million pounds.
