Traffic situation in the streets, squares and axes of Cairo and Giza this morning

Today, Thursday, October 9, the streets, axes, and squares of Cairo and Giza governorates witnessed clear traffic flow on most roads, amid an intense deployment of traffic police to ensure the orderly movement of cars and the safety of citizens.

Traffic situation in Cairo and Giza

In Cairo Governorate, traffic was good on the Ring Road, the 26th of July Corridor, and the October Bridge, in addition to downtown squares such as Roxy, Ramses, and Abdel Moneim Riad. The Nile Corniche also witnessed smooth traffic, especially in the direction coming from Maadi and Helwan and heading to Malik al-Saleh.

As for Giza, there was relative flexibility in car movement in 6th of October City and the surrounding areas, especially on Al-Mehwar Al-Markazi Street, while Al-Haram Street recorded some slowdown as a result of the continued construction of subway stations at the Mariouteya Interchange, in addition to noticeable congestion in the areas of Al-Messaha, Al-Arish, Madkour, and Talbieh.

The General Traffic Department also dispatched a number of traffic relief vehicles on highways and main roads to deal with any emergency, while the hotline 01221110000 continues to operate to receive reports and citizens’ distress calls around the clock.
