Today, the Second Circuit of Terrorism, held in Badr, is considering the trial of 108 defendants, in Case No. 3202 of 2025 Katameya Felons, in the case known as ISIS Al-Qattameya.

The referral order said that during the period from 2016 until February 24, 2024, all of the defendants joined a terrorist group whose purpose was to call for the disruption of the provisions of the Constitution and laws, prevent state institutions and public authorities from carrying out their work, attack the personal freedom of citizens and public freedoms and rights, and harm national unity and social peace.
The referral order stated: The eighty-third to the last defendants committed a crime of financing terrorism by providing, transporting, and supplying the group under accusation with money and logistical support materials. The eighteenth defendant, an Egyptian national, joined an armed group based outside the country by joining the Ahrar al-Sham group, which embraces takfiri ideas. The eighty-sixth defendant joined an armed group abroad, by joining ISIS in the state of Syria.
The nineteenth defendant was charged with possession of a firearm, a shotgun, and possession of ammunition used on a firearm. The twenty-fifth defendant was charged with possession of a firearm for use in committing a terrorist act. The thirty-seventh defendant was charged with possession of an automatic rifle. The fifty-third defendant was charged with possession of two firearms and ammunition. The fifty-fifth defendant was charged with possession of an automatic rifle. The seventy-eighth defendant was charged with possession of a weapon. The seventy-ninth accused possessed a weapon, an automatic rifle and ammunition, and the eightieth accused possessed a machine gun and ammunition.
