The draw for the women’s championship is scheduled to be held at one o’clock in the afternoon, followed by the draw for the men’s championship at two o’clock in the afternoon, in the presence of representatives of the participating clubs and representatives of the federation.
The Basketball Association had set October 8 as the last date for receiving letters of participation and paying participation fees for the two tournaments, in preparation for preparing the competition schedule for the new season.
The Al-Ittihad Alexandria team holds the Egyptian Cup for men after defeating Al-Ahly in the final of last season, while the Al-Ahly women’s team won the title at the expense of Sporting in a strong final.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Basketball Federation had previously announced the start of the new season 2025-2026 next Thursday, with matches in the women’s league, amid aspirations for a strong competitive season at the level of all tournaments.
