The security services in Sohag Governorate succeeded in uncovering the mystery of the theft of a water cooler and a car cover, and arresting the accused within a few hours of committing the crime.

The beginning dates back to when Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Director of Sohag Security, received a report from the Second Sohag Police Department stating that a number of people had stolen a water cooler from a street, using a stolen car cover to hide it while transporting it on a motorcycle.
Under quick directions from the Director of Security, Major Sherif Abdel Mohsen, head of the department’s investigations, formed a search and investigation team, where surveillance cameras were examined and the perpetrators’ itinerary was tracked until they were identified and arrested in less than 24 hours.
During the investigations, the defendants admitted to committing the incident with the intention of selling the stolen goods, and the seized items were seized and referred to the competent investigation authorities to initiate investigations into the incident.
The people of Sohag expressed their appreciation for the rapid security efforts, which resulted in the recovery of the stolen items and the arrest of the perpetrators in a short time.
