Abdullah Ghorab, head of the General Division of Bakeries at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that the government bears the difference in the increase in the price of diesel used in the production of subsidized bread, in order to ensure the stability of the price of the loaf and not burden citizens with any additional burdens.

Ghorab explained, during television statements, that the state regularly compensates bakeries for differences in diesel prices, to ensure the continuation of production with the same efficiency and prescribed quantities, stressing that the price of the subsidized loaf is fixed as it is, and there is no intention to increase it.
The head of the division indicated that the impact of the rise in diesel prices extends to other sectors related to the bread industry, such as transportation, labor, and logistical supplies, explaining that these aspects may constitute an additional burden on bakery owners, but they do not affect the government support system.
Regarding tourist bread, Ghorab said that prices vary from one region to another depending on the nature of the market and competition, and there is no unified pricing for it, indicating that tourist bakeries will strive to maintain competitive prices despite the increase in costs.
He concluded his statement by emphasizing that the subsidized bread system is operating regularly, and that the state is making great efforts to ensure continued support and market stability.
