The security services at the Ministry of Interior were able to arrest a driver of a heavy transport vehicle for colliding with a person and his two sons, causing their injuries and the death of one of them, and then he fled in Cairo.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement: In the context of uncovering the circumstances of what was reported to the Basateen Police Department in the Cairo Security Directorate, from a hospital that it received a person and his two sons with injuries and various fractures in the body, and the death of one of them as a result of his injury, residing in the department’s department, following an allegation of a collision on one of the roads in the department’s department.
Upon examination, it was found that while the injured were driving a private car on the reported road, its driver was surprised when a heavy truck stopped on the left side of the road, which led to him colliding with it from behind. After that, its driver fled, resulting in the aforementioned injury that claimed the life of one of them.
The car and its driver, a driver residing in Menoufia Governorate, were identified and seized. When confronted, he confessed to committing the incident as referred to, and explained his escape for fear of being subjected to legal accountability. The car was seized and legal measures were taken against its driver.
In a separate context, the security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a video clip circulated on social media, which included the driver of a heavy truck removing the back plate of the car and driving recklessly on a highway, endangering his life and the citizens.
Through examination, it was possible to identify and seize the car with a valid license and its driver, a driver who did not hold a driver’s license, residing in Helwan, Cairo. When confronted, he confessed to committing the incident as referred to, and the car was seized and legal measures were taken against its driver.
