The Supreme Council of Health announced the organization of the National Forum for Quality in Healthcare under the slogan “Quality: Think Different”, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, as part of its continuing efforts to enhance the concepts of quality, efficiency and sustainability within the health services system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In this regard, Lieutenant General Doctor Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, confirmed that organizing the forum constitutes an advanced step towards consolidating the concept of comprehensive quality in the health sector, through exchanging experiences and reviewing the best international practices in developing services and raising their efficiency. His Excellency pointed out that the forum comes in line with the objectives of the plans and strategies of the Supreme Council of Health aimed at promoting a culture of excellence and quality in health care.
For his part, Colonel Doctor Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Commander of King Hamad University Hospital and Chairman of the Council’s Clinical Quality and Standards Committee, explained that organizing the forum reflects the keenness to develop the health care system and raise its level of efficiency and quality, noting that the forum’s outcomes will contribute to formulating future development policies that enhance the patient experience.
The forum will witness the participation of an elite group of local and international experts, academics and specialists, who will discuss multiple topics including innovation in quality, health leadership development, patient safety, and quality-based health education, in addition to reviewing national clinical guidelines. The forum also includes a series of scientific sessions and discussion panels that address future challenges in quality management, and mechanisms for employing modern technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance health sector performance.
The forum will conclude by announcing a set of recommendations and specific initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of health personnel in leading the quality system, and opening new horizons for cooperation between national, regional and international institutions in the health field.
