Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, confirmed that the Egyptian state will not exit some of the important strategic sectors that represent basic pillars of the national economy, indicating that the government is keen to maximize the role of the private sector without compromising national interests or vital assets.

Madbouly explained, during the press conference he held on the sidelines of his tour of the Fustat Hills Park project, that the state seeks to reach safe levels of external debt, by implementing a clear plan to restructure debts and improve the management of financial resources, to ensure the sustainability of economic growth.

The Prime Minister indicated that the government expects the inflation rate to gradually decline to reach about 8% during the second half of 2026, in light of the financial and monetary policies followed, and efforts to control prices and stimulate domestic production.

This comes within the framework of the state’s continued implementation of the comprehensive economic reform program, and achieving a balance between stabilizing markets and supporting local and foreign investments.
