Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, announced the disbursement of cash support under the umbrella of “Solidarity and Dignity” for the month of October to 4.7 million families, today, Wednesday, October 15, at a value of more than 4 billion pounds.
Beneficiaries began spending in the early hours of this morning through all ATMs available in banks spread across the country. They can also make electronic payments and all government transactions and purchases.
Spending solidarity and dignity
The Ministry of Social Solidarity follows up the process of disbursing aid under the Solidarity and Dignity program, and there is coordination with the governors and directors of the social solidarity directorates to follow up on the progress of the disbursement operations.
It is worth noting that cash support is provided to 4.7 million families in need of care, including approximately 18 million citizens, with a budget amounting to 54 billion pounds annually following the permanent approval of the new scheduled 25% increase and its implementation starting last April.
