The southern governorate held a societal event on the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly in the presence of Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the southern governorate, in cooperation with the Abdullah bin Khaled Center for Parents Care, under the slogan (We appreciate your tender) that included a celebration and an exhibition accompanying this occasion, in the Al -Hikma Association for retirees, in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abdel Latif, head of the municipal council of the municipality of the southern region, and Brigadier Hamad Muhammad Turki, Assistant Undersecretary for Care and Social Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Social Development, and a number of officials in the southern governorate, with the wide participation of the pioneers of parental care.
On this occasion, the governor of the southern governorate emphasized that the governorate is harnessing all means of support and care for the elderly, in the context of consolidating the values of partnership and societal solidarity, and in appreciation and gratitude to their great role and the efforts and giving they provided in the service of society and its construction, indicating that this occasion embodies the keenness of preserving communication with the elderly and highlighting their position, in addition to their involvement in the developmental and social initiatives implemented by the province Southern, as an essential and effective pillar in the southern society.
During the ceremony, Dr. Hassan Kamal, a member of the Board of Directors of Al -Hikma Association for Retired Persons, delivered a speech in which he expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Governor of the Southern Governorate for this generous gesture that embodies the interest in the elderly of employees of the parents ’care, praising the province’s celebration of this global occasion for its strengthening of the principle of community partnership and the consolidation of the values of loyalty and appreciation for this dear category.
At the end of the ceremony, the governor of the southern governorate received a memorial gift provided by the Abdullah bin Khaled Center for Parents Care, after which he took a tour of the accompanying craft exhibition that included products and works for pioneers of the role and institutions of parental care.
