The Royal Golf Club is preparing to host golf competitions as part of the 2025 Asian Youth Games, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from October 22 to 31, 2025, under the generous patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him.
The golf competitions will be held on the grounds of the Royal Golf Club during the period from 22 to 25 October 2025.
The golf competition activities will begin on Wednesday, October 22, with the official training round, and the official rounds of the tournament will be held from Thursday, October 23, until Saturday, October 25, with wide participation from various Asian countries.
The tournament witnesses the participation of 25 Asian countries, represented by 17 teams in the boys’ category and 10 teams in the girls’ category, with a total of 85 male and female players, including three Bahraini players who will represent the Kingdom in the boys’ category, in a national participation that expresses the development of golf in Bahrain and enhances its growing presence at the regional and continental levels.
This hosting is a new national achievement added to the club’s and Bahraini sports history, as the tournament will witness the presence of an elite group of the most prominent young players from various Asian countries, which enhances Bahrain’s position as a leading sports destination in the region and a distinguished center for hosting international sporting events.
Captain Walid Abdul Hamid Al-Alawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Golf Club, expressed his pride in choosing the club to be the official headquarters for golf competitions in the Asian Youth Games, stressing that this choice reflects great confidence in the club’s advanced infrastructure and the level of professional organization it enjoys in hosting major tournaments.
Al-Alawi added that the club has completed the preparation of its courts and facilities in accordance with the highest international technical standards, to ensure the provision of an exceptional experience for athletes and participants, and in a manner befitting the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its distinguished organizational capabilities, noting that this hosting represents an important opportunity to highlight the development of golf in the Kingdom, and reflects the great support that the sports movement enjoys from the wise leadership.
Al-Alawi concluded his statement by emphasizing that hosting golf competitions within the Asian Youth Games represents a historic event for Bahraini sports, and embodies the leadership’s vision of empowering youth and supporting sports as a tributary to national development, stressing that the Royal Golf Club will make every effort to make this major continental event a success in cooperation with the organizing committee and concerned authorities.
