The National Authority said For Egyptian Railways It is working to provide amenities for the train passenger public, by specifying the position of the expected threats and delays in train movement today, Monday, October 20, 2025, in a new alert to the citizens of the passenger public.
Average delays of railway trains
The Egyptian National Railway Authority explained, in a post on its official Facebook page, that this comes in view of the comprehensive development work that the Railway Authority is undertaking during the current period on some lines, which will enhance safety and security factors, and raise the level of services provided to the passenger public.
Train movement today
In the following lines, we monitor the average delays of railway trains expected on its lines in Upper and Lower Egypt today:
First: Cairo – Alexandria line
Average train delays are 20 minutes.
Second: Cairo – Assiut line
Average train delays are 80 minutes.
Third: Assiut – Aswan line
Average train delays are 60 minutes.
Fourth: Banha – Port Said line
Average train delays are 90 minutes.
Fifth: Tanta – Mansoura – Damietta line
Average train delays are 45 minutes.
Sixth: Qalyoub – Shibin Al-Qanater – Zagazig – Mansoura line
Average train delays are 45 minutes.
The Railway Authority apologized to travelers for these delays due to the threats at some work sites in the modern projects being implemented, including renovating and maintaining railways, developing slides and stations, and modernizing signaling systems.
