Egyptian security and media sources reported, early Sunday, the death of three Qatari diplomats and the injury of two others, following a traffic accident that occurred near the city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The sources reported that the delegation was involved in the accident in the early hours of this morning, 50 kilometers from the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, while on its way to attend the announcement of a cessation of war in Gaza.
Sources reported that the delegation was traveling in one diplomatic car as part of the convoy accompanying the Qatari Prime Minister, and that two of the injured were receiving treatment in intensive care.
Reuters quoted two security sources as saying that 3 Qatari diplomats were killed in a car accident in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
The two sources added to the agency that two diplomats were also injured in the incident.
The city of Sharm El-Sheikh is expected to host an international summit on Monday to finalize an agreement aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
