His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, discussed with his brother His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work and their level of development, especially in the developmental and economic fields, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples.
This came according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during a meeting between His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates and his brother His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace as part of the fraternal visit made by His Highness the President of the UAE to Kuwait.
According to the agency, the meeting touched on a number of regional and international issues and developments, most notably the latest developments in the Middle East region. In this context, their Highnesses affirmed the two countries’ support for all initiatives and endeavors aimed at a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and establishing a comprehensive and just peace based on the “two-state solution” as it is the way to achieve stability in the region for the benefit of all its peoples and countries.
The agency stated that the two sides stressed the need to build on the recently increased international recognition of the Palestinian state to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people towards peace and stability.
Their Highnesses also discussed the path of joint Gulf action, stressing the keenness of the two countries to support everything that would strengthen the process of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in order to achieve the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.
His Highness, the President of the United Arab Emirates, left the State of Kuwait at the conclusion of his brotherly visit.
