Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, conducted a tour in the village of Al-Batanoun, affiliated with the Shebin El-Kom Center, to inspect the new school complex being constructed with investments exceeding 60 million pounds, to follow up on implementation rates and progress of work on the ground, within the framework of the state’s plan to upgrade the infrastructure of the education sector and improve the quality of educational services in the governorate.

The governor was accompanied during his tour by Dr. Mohamed Salah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Engineer Wafa Sobhi, Director General of the Educational Buildings Authority, Representative Sherine Abdel Aziz, Member of the House of Representatives, and Yasser Salem, Head of the Local Unit of the Center and City of Shebin El-Kom.
The governor inspected the construction of the new school complex, which is located on an area of 10,000 square metres, and includes two schools; The first is for basic education, with investments of 27.08 million pounds, and includes 32 classes (8 kindergartens, 24 primary), and the second is experimental for languages, with investments of 33.77 million pounds, and includes 28 classes (4 kindergartens, 12 primary, 6 middle, and 6 secondary).
The Governor of Menoufia explained that the project aims to reduce student densities in classrooms, accommodate larger numbers of students, and provide a distinguished educational service to the people of the village and neighboring villages, stressing that the implementation rate of construction work reached about 75%.
Major General Abu Laymoun directed the removal of the excavation results surrounding the complex, and coordination with the Rapid Intervention Unit to improve the general appearance, stressing adherence to technical specifications and quality and safety standards during implementation, and quickly removing any obstacles to completing the work.
The Governor of Menoufia stressed that the state attaches great importance to the education file as it is the engine of development, noting that the governorate is implementing an ambitious plan to establish and develop schools in all centers and villages, to eliminate the phenomenon of multiple school periods and provide a safe and integrated educational environment for students.
