Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the ongoing negotiations to stop the war in the Gaza Strip in Egypt are very important and vital, and we hope to receive good news.
Israel remains the main obstacle to peace
Erdogan added in his speech: It is unfair to place the burden of peace on Hamas and the Palestinians only, and Israel remains the main obstacle to peace despite US President Donald Trump’s plan, as we must stop its attacks for the sake of peace.
The Turkish President added: If the Israeli side sincerely wants peace, it must stop its aggression immediately.
Earlier, Erdogan said that Hamas’s response to the ceasefire plan in Gaza is considered a constructive and important step in order to achieve lasting peace, and what must be done now is for Israel to immediately stop all its attacks and adhere to the ceasefire plan.
He continued: All steps must be taken without wasting time in order to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and achieve lasting peace, and the genocide, which represents a shameful spectacle that has deeply wounded the global conscience, must stop now.
Erdogan stressed: We in Türkiye will continue with our full potential to work for the negotiations to lead to the best possible outcome for the Palestinian people, and to achieve the two-state solution supported by the international community.
