Within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to promote artistic and cultural activities that contribute to promoting the Egyptian tourist destination, the Ministry, through the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, continues its support for the El Gouna Film Festival in its eighth session of 2025, which continues until October 24 under the slogan "Cinema for humanity".

Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Strategic Administration Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, stressed the importance of the Authority’s sponsorship of the El Gouna Festival, as it is considered one of the important cinematic events that sheds light on Egypt from a tourism, artistic and cultural perspective, with its distinguished events and the prominent presence of art and film makers from around the world, which is considered an effective means of promoting the governorate. The Red Sea, Hurghada and El Gouna, highlighting their diverse tourism potential. Youssef also pointed out that the Authority’s sponsorship of such events comes from its belief in the role of soft powers in supporting the tourism movement and enhancing communication between peoples, as tourism, culture and art contribute to bringing viewpoints closer together and learning about the cultures of different peoples.
